Surveys show that the majority of families spend most of their leisure time in the living room, although this does depend to a degree on the demographic of the family—older tenants prefer to relax in their living room whereas younger tenants are more likely to hang out in the kitchen.
If your property has two reception rooms, instead of marketing it as having a living room with a separate dining room, consider knocking the rooms through and creating a large kitchen-diner or spacious living room. Alternatively, turn the dining room into a separate study instead.
