What is the Landlord Vision Refer a Friend Programme?
Simply put, it allows people who use Landlord Vision to refer other landlords and in return get money off their subscription. For every successful referral, the Landlord Vision customer will get three months of free access to Landlord Vision!
The reward stacks too, so for some enterprising customers this could mean getting free access to Landlord Vision for months or even years!
How can I use the Landlord Vision Refer a Friend Programme?
Subscribers are given a unique URL and referral code. All they need to do is provide one of these to a fellow landlord and when that fellow landlord signs up via the link or using the code, the subscriber will get three months use of Landlord Vision for free!
If you’re already using Landlord Vision you will find your unique code by logging in and going to Account > Get Landlord Vision for Free.
What’s the difference between the URL and the code?
The only difference is the way that they are used. If you give a fellow landlord your URL, they can click on this to sign up and your referral code will be automatically applied to their account. This way the referral is a bit more automated. If you give someone your referral code, rather than the URL, they will need to enter it in the ‘referral code’ section when they go to purchase their subscription.
Are there any Special Rules or Caveats on the Referral Programme?
There are very few rules and caveats. One thing we noticed when we were researching our programme is that a lot of companies set limits and caps. For instance, if the programme offers cash back it might be the case that you have to earn up to £50 before getting a payment made to you. We didn’t want our programme to have conditions such as this, and we felt that our refer a friend programme should be as simple as possible, with the reward being as instantaneous as possible.
The only rule is that we have to collect one payment from the person you’ve referred. This is to make sure their account is genuine. We also monitor referrals in the background to ensure that customers can’t self-refer – we have had a few people try this trick in the past!
How did you Create the Landlord Vision Refer a Friend Programme?
Well, the Landlord Vision refer a friend programme has actually existed for quite some time. For a while now landlords have been able to refer other people and receive cashback for their efforts. However, we were under no illusion that this programme was in need of an update as technology has changed so have people’s wants and needs. Ultimately, this meant that things stop working as well as they once did.
We’d toyed with the idea of fixing the refer a friend programme before. The main problem was that the existing programme was complicated and the reward wasn’t all that rewarding! So, we asked our customers for their opinion. Those who responded suggested that a discount or free use of Landlord Vision was their preferred incentive for referring a friend.
After hearing this, we had a meeting or six to hash out what we thought we could offer and how it would work technically, and the new referral programme was born!
